Sybase Developer wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- Expertise with Sybase ASE or MS SQL Server as developer
- Competency of performance tuning SQL queries and stored procedures
- Profound knowledge of Linux shell and Perl scripting
- Previous experience of developing IT projects within a banking institution, including knowledge of Securities Lending, Repo and Collateral trading is desirable
- Knowledge of Crystal reports, JIRA and Agile project delivery as well as of .Net C# or VisualBasic is advantageous
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Developing and maintaining Sybase / SQL Server database queries and stored procedures, batch jobs written in Linux and Perl scripts as well as data feeds to downstream systems and processing of feeds from upstream systems
- Maintaining and documenting database schema, batch jobs and processes
- Providing third level support to end-users and to other support teams
- Creating and managing reports and Crystal reporting templates as well as assisting in capturing business requirements in the form of User Stories
- Supporting the test team in testing activities
- Work with Business users at all levels on small projects such as report development and enhancements as well as collaborating with off-shore IT development team
