Python Developer/Business Analyst with profound Datamodelling and SQL Server knowledge wanted for our Financial Services Basel based client.
Your experience/skills:
- Proficiency in Python v3.5+ including pandas, pytest and matplotlib as well as profound knowledge of MS SQL Server 2016+, ideally coupled with experience in C# 6.0+
- Familiarity with MS TFS 2017 and with setup/maintenance of Continuous Integration Workflows for Python and .NET using Git
- Background in both Front End and Back End development including functional and Object Oriented programming
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Kanban along with test-driven development including creating as well as using integration- and automated unit tests
- Solid understanding of descriptive statistics together with financial instruments and transactions, particularly regarding asset management
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Designing and implementing an operational database solution with Python and migrating the current reporting infrastructure implemented in Excel
- Providing an interface with external calculation application using the designed internal database
- Ensuring that the solution applies numerous calculation transformations in Python to produce aggregated reporting results and performs quality checks such as time series analysis on the received data
- Establishing a solution that is able to process incoming data from numerous sources such as databases, Excel files, PDFs, CSV and Bloomberg
- Prototyping a performance report for a CPPI-like benchmark strategy
