We are looking for a Business Analyst situated in Basel:

Main Tasks:
- surveying, analyzing and recognizing tasks, structures and the disposition of physical and organizational resources
- definition of work orders and support of the target definition process
- development and evaluation of methods of resolution
- reviewing and improving work processes and information flows
- giving support in planning and carrying out organisational changes
- evaluating physical and organisational resources
- supporting the project leader in the fields of quality assurace and project execution
- consulting the sponsor regarding the workplace design, spatial planning and disposition of physical and organisational resources
- ongoing adjustment of the disposition of physical and organisational resources to changing environmental influences and organisational changes in existing complex organisational solutions

Special Requirement:
The scope of the mission consists in supporting 3 project streams from an overal initiative:
- Portfolio Management
- Financial Management
- Reporting, Dashboards and what if scenarios management.

The internal expertise for each stream will be supplied by a Subject Matter Experts (SME).

As a senior Business Analyst, the role will consist in teaming with SME and supporting them, especially with the following deliverables and activities:

- delivery of use cases for supporting discussions and parameterization
- delivery of supporting documents e.g. with regards to business processes, roles, access rights, meta data governance, data elements definitions
- identify business or functional gaps versus solution, propose solutions
- support alignment between the streams
- facilitate internal synchronization or brainstorming workshops

- 5+ years of successful experience in dealing with project and portfolio topics in a global Informatics planning / project management / portfolio management / functional consulting role
- Good portfolio and project management skills necessary; Project Associate certification (desirable).
- Experience with HP PPMC solution
Autonomous, ability to drive and be proactive

Education:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
- Certification within project management, portfolio management or HP PPMC appreciated.

Other special requirements:
- Advanced English reading, writing, speaking and listening skills
- Flexibility to work additional hours and travel occasionally
