Sector Head / Software Engineering & Configuration Management (f/m)
We offer
Role as sector head managing the 'Software Engineering & Configuration Management' team of 8 employees including objective setting, development and monitoring, management of organizational change as well as leading Human Capital Management functions
Technical lead of process and tool integration engineers to design and develop.
The task to plan and utilize resources proactively and efficiently based on operative financial and resource planning of the SDP project portfolio and release plan
Accountability for the elaboration and support of advanced software development methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean Software Development, Rational Unified Process etc.) and applicable solution delivery process and lifecycle models (e.g. agile, iterative)
The chance to have a say in the development of SDP strategies, processes, standards and architecture and the possibility to analyze processes and tool improvement proposals related to software engineering and configuration management
The possibility to contribute to the global solution delivery process harmonization and to process and tool reuse across international locations
Analysis of industry trends and application of industry software development method best practices and maturity models, e.g. CMMI for Development
Intense collaboration with central architecture, SDP core team members and solution delivery governance boards
Responsibility for the IT PB architectural initiative "Road to Documentation"
A dynamic and international setting, which provides the opportunity for frequent and varied exposure to IT management and business stakeholders
You offer
Higher education in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Natural Science or Engineering
In depth knowledge of solution delivery analysis and design and long-term experience in software engineering (e.g. Model-driven development, Java, JEE, Eclipse, PL/1, Mainframe, open source environments) in large organizations
Knowledge of at least three of the following market best practices/standards in depth: MDA/MDD, UML, Eclipse, Rational Jazz, RUP, Lean Software Development, Scrum, Kanban, CMMI for Development)
Outstanding leadership capacity and the ability to lead by example and to work as team player
Excellent communication, marketing and presentations skills and the ability to convince important stakeholders
Very good analytical thinking, strong problem solving skills, high quality focus and the ability to deliver under time pressure
Fluency in English, German is an advantage
