Intern - Supply Chain Management wanted for our Zurich based client in the manufacturing sector.Your experience/skills:
- University Degree in Supply Chain Management or other Business/Engineering related field
- Profound experience in strategic sourcing, ideally in the metals industry
- Ability to work with large and complex datasets and drawing conclusions
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with a high service orientated mind-set
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Executing and implementing Requests for Quotations for direct materials covering selection of supplier base, demand collection, executing the e-Sourcing platform and analytical review of commercial offers and negotiation preparation
- Collecting and consolidating volume data along with executing data analytics
- Running ad hoc reports from the database to identify cost saving opportunities
- Participating to supplier negotiations, contract review and implementation meetings
- Defining meeting contents and agendas, documenting results and updating action plans
- Supporting the execution of the Supply Base Management framework, including supplier classification & development
