For a project at our client ‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

Linux System Engineer (5397)

The main goal of this project is provisioning systems for all operating systems according to the defined requirements and delivering appropriate hardware and software solutions related to those requirements.

Your Qualifications:

• 5+ years' Experience in System Engineering
• Advanced knowledge in Solaris, Solaris zones and Linux
• Scripting experience in Perl and Shell
• Solid knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and good understanding from Network-, UNIX/LINUX-, Wintel- and Oracle- or MySQL- Environments
• Presentation, communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent in English

Your Responsibilities:

• Install Unix, Linux, Wintel and ESX Servers according to the customers' requirements (SNOW and GRS)
• Installing Cluster for Windows, Linux, Solaris as well as Terminal Server (OS and IP setup)
• Base and Full installation (OS Base, and file system / OS Middleware Application)
• Building shadow system (Installing System with same name and IP for 'easy' migration
• Provide configuration for Build upgrades (SC setup for Business)
• Resolving installation problems (Network, firewall )
• Organizes missing Infrastructure firewall rules
