Our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies based in Basel, is now looking for Linux Specialist for Scientific Research.
This is a contractual role starting ASAP until end of 2019.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery of the scientific Linux application environment and build system
- Support of scientific Linux platform
- Contributes to the concept, planning and execution of projects.
- Documentation, training, user support
Must Have:
- Desirable at least 5 years of administering Linux environments
- Experience of Linux build and packaging tools
- DevOPS approach: configuration management
- Experience with installing and configuring scientific applications particularly on a Linux/Unix platform
- Cloud technologies, infrastructure/platform as a service, AWS, Google, Azure
- Knowledge of HPC infrastructure components, InfiniBand networking, GPUs
- Technical operational skills, such as troubleshooting, capacity planning, and root cause analysis
- Excellent customer orientation and delivery focus with good end user perspective
