Our client, one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies based in Basel, is looking for a Data Architect with good experience within relevant Datamodelling/Data Integration area.
This is a contracting role based in the Basel area and planned to start in June until end of September with real extension opportunities.
Are you a Data Architect with proficiency in writing and analysing SQL and PL/SQL or SPL such as good understanding of most common Data warehouse and Data Modeling concepts (eg Inmon, Kimbal, Data Vault etc.) and currently looking for your next opportunities within one of the major innovative pharmaceutical company?

Project background:
Our client is building a new facility for the market launch of solid products. In this new facility, our client implements a new state of the art MES system. As part of the MES deployment, new reports will have to be created to support the operations in the shop-floor and retrieve/analyze data from the MES system.
Tasks:

Work closely with the project team to determine the data sources to be integrated

Acquire knowledge about the data structure of the solutions to be integrated

Implement data model according to available specifications

Test the data model to verify the correctness

Work closely with report developers to ensure the reports build on the data model are correct
Ideal Profile:
-
5-7 years of experience in an appropriately relevant area in Datamodelling/Data Integration

Proficiency in writing and analysing SQL and PL/SQL or SPL
-
Understanding of most common Data Ware House and Data Modeling concepts (eg Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault, normalization/denormalization etc.)

Understanding of SQL performance related topics

Ability to understand and create logical and physical data models

English speaking
Nice to have:
-
Experience with Oracle and other databases (MS SQL Server)
-
German will be a strong advantage
