Main tasks:
- Write and update end User Documentation and Service Documentation in English for medical devices and software while respecting project requirements and documentation standards
- Plan, develop, organize and edit operational procedures for user and service documentation
- Independently collect information required to produce the documents
- Cooperate closely with documentation managers, service personnel, trainers, developers and other subject matter experts
- Organize documentation reviews by subject matter experts, and implements their input
- Ensure that quality targets, timelines and regulatory requirements are respected
- Contribute to frequent discussions aimed at the continuous improvement of our processes and guidelines
Main qualifications
- Proven experience in technical writing for software applications, preferably in a strong regulated working environment
- Familiarity with laboratory systems and environments
- Apprenticeship and/or undergraduate degree in an electrical, mechanical, information technology or linguistic discipline; a further education e.g. in technical documentation is a plus
- Excellent spoken and written command of English, good spoken command of German
- Ability to quickly learn complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, pictures and/or videos
- Ability to communicate in an international environment and motivating colleagues from other departments
- Proven experience with Adobe FrameMaker (structured) or a similar authoring tool
- Experience with Schema ST4 or a comparable content management system
- Familiarity with software development processes
- Experience with iterative/agile software development methods, such as scrum, is an advantage
- Enthusiasm about technical writing
