Purpose:
The Platform Expert is responsible to design the infrastructure architecture to support the deployment of the hybrid target software components based on requirements delivered to him by the Integration Architect and the Solution Architects.
Main Tasks:
- Define and revise the target platform architecture taking into consideration solution needs, non-functional requirements and costs
The target platform architecture being hybrid between physical and virtualization based, a key responsibility is to provide design pattern supporting the entire landscape
- Provide strong governance and architectural guidance to Solution and Integration Architects to ensure consistency across implementation, supporting infrastructure harmonization
- Design and promote new infrastructure solutions: Virtualization, Dynamic software deployment, Technical Monitoring and Control or dynamic provisioning
- Position new software services in the network landscape (Block/Zones) to ensure optimal security and efficiency
Collaborative Tasks:
- Candidate should work with Network, Security and support teams to understand dependencies which require to be factored in the definition of the targeted infrastructure architecture
- Work with the Solution and Integration Architect to understand Solution Non Functional
Requirements:
Performance, Scalability, Availability or Reliability
- With support of Legacy system experts, he/she acts as technical reference in projects to migrate Legacy solution into the new design platform
Technical Skills
- Expertise in.Virtualized infrastructure* and design patterns
- Expertise in Operating System configuration, management and deployment focused on Windows Server and.RedHat* based OS
- Extensive experience with infrastructure management and monitoring
- Extensive experience in Software and hardware configuration management
- Good experience in release management, DevOps and Continues Delivery
- Good experience in Stakeholder management
- Datacenter experience, with both virtual and bare metal hosts.
- German or French spoken is a bonus
