In-depth understanding of object-oriented (OO) concepts, programming and systems design Strong understanding and practical experience of enterprise application design and architecture Detailed understanding and strong hands-on experience of Web Services, Service Oriented Architecture, Messaging/Integration Patterns and n-tier development. Understanding of Design Patterns and experience applying SOA application designs Ability to identify and explain opportunities for design or performance improvement. Strong understanding and practical experience in Java, and Microsoft .NET E.g. C#, Java, C++, XML, MVC, SOAP, REST, AJAX, WCF, MQ/MSMQ Relational databases and programming experience with Oracle Understanding and practical experience of UML, object/data modeling and XML design Experience with Agile development techniques Knowledge with technical quality practices such as TDD, Continuous Integration, Automated builds, Refactoring, Self documenting code. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to extract specifications from clients. Knowledge and experience in IIS and Tomcat applications and Unix/Windows/Linux platforms SharePoint, BizTalk, Business analysis skills are a plus
