Azure SQL Administrator

Mission/Rôle:
- Installation, configuration and support of high availability and disaster recovery for SQL Server infrastructure in Azure.
- Day-to-day operational support and maintenance of SQL Servers hosted in Azure including user service requests and service restorations.
- Support of Azure SQL databases in Azure
- Follow-up on problem management cases including problem detection, logging, categorization, investigation, diagnosis and complete resolution plans.
- Assistance in the installation and configuration of new SQL Server infrastructures in accordance with established change management processes, including infrastructure as a service and platform as a service.
- Configuration and support of Azure-only with high availability solutions and Disaster recovery solutions
- Configuration and support of Hybrid IT: Disaster recovery solutions
- Migrations of SQL Server environments from on premise to Azure and consolidation of SQL Server infrastructure and/or Azure SQL Database.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2014 and 2016.
- Strong knowledge managing Azure through Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
- High availability solutions including SQL Server Always On technology, Failover Clustering (FCI), Availability Groups (AVG).
- Disaster recovery technologies
- Minimum 2 years working experience as SQL Administrator with Azure
- English: Fluent
