For a well known company in Zurich, we are urgently looking for aCOMMUNICATION SPECIALIST - 50 %
Starting: March 1, 2010
until: Dec. 31, 2010
WORK SPECIFICATION
Develop/improve and implement a Communications plan (plans, updates, stories, etc) for the rollout of a Cost Control Platform (software tool and corporate policy) in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and Portugal in all local languages (translation support available). This might include announcements, messages, presentations, guidelines, user manuals and intranet site support.
Manage the communication activities within budget ensuring highest impact for lowest cost.
Work as part of Group IT Internal Communications team and the wider Corporate Communications and Country Communications to ensure full co-ordination with other
initiatives ensuring consistency
Liaise with Approvers to ensure adequate approval and signoff received for all material.
Ability to work with and influence key stakeholders throughout the Organisational
Hierarchy both Corporate and in-country essential.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to participate and facilitate in discussions with complex content, compose reports
with almost no grammatical errors. Knowledge/awareness of French, Italian, Portuguese
and Spanish a plus.
Experienced in outsourcing and working with outsourced partners coupled with an understanding of sourcing goals within a challenging business environment.
Proven internal communication experience and a track record of delivering best communication practice.
Proven cross-border experience in communication planning, sequencing, organisational time management, and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and including ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of the organisation including key Agencies, senior management team and supplier contacts.

The working environment will be equally in English and German whereas the audiences will be in all of the languages specified above. Documents will be translated centrally once made available in German and/or English. A self-starter comfortable with taking control of a Communications project to support the rollout of a new IT Management Information software and Corporate Policy on Telephone usage is what is required. The target audiences for all communications will be both End users/normal employees and management/team leaders.
