Lab Assistant wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Technical Science
- 3+ years' experience working as a Technician with essential scientific or technical knowledge in the analytical area as well as good understanding of laboratory and technical tools
- Responsiveness for safe handling of chemicals, potentially dangerous materials and equipment
- Solid knowledge of software and computer tools along with good presentation skills
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, knowledge of German or French would be an asset
Your tasks:
- Developing and validating analytical methods with a focus on x-ray powder diffractometry, infrared spectroscopy, micro calorimetry and thermal analyses in the area of solid state characterization
- Supporting the physical - chemical characterization of active pharmaceutical ingredients, especially in salt and polymorphism programs
- Performing and documenting scientific experiments under GMP along with providing GMP documentation
- Implementing routine maintenance of lab instruments / equipment
- Supporting the transfer of analytical procedures to CRO's and production sites
- Collaborating with team to facilitate deliveries of DS and DP
