FREELANCE/CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY: .NET Application Developer - Geneva, Switzerland - Initial 6 month contract - 400€-450€ per day
One of my leading clients, a government organisation based in Geneva, Switzerland are looking for a .NET Application Developer to join them on an initial 6 month contract.
My client are looking for a .NET developer with experience in Web Development, Web Services, JavaScript UI frameworks, C# .NET, Database modelling and MS SQL Server programming.
Experience/skills required:
- Extensive experience as a .NET Application Developer
- Experience in .NET 2.0 and above
- Strong C# skills
- Strong experience in Transact SQL for MS SQL*Server 2005
- Extensive Web Development experience
- Strong JavaScript UI frameworks experience
Responsibilities include:
- .NET development of the complete web application
- Design and build the time series database system
- Build a user-friendly and flexible online data retrieval tool for time series selection, data viewing and download into various output formats
- Develop data loading procedures to extract, transform and load (ETL) the data from the pre-processed data stores into the dissemination database.
- Work on the MS SQL Server database containing the pre-calculated indicators, to facilitate the reporting on several pre-defined dimensions
- Data loading and verification and loading of the production data for data sets
- Development of the public web user interface
- Review the existing prototype of the web interface and finish the prototype as proof of concept of the choice of data model
