Für unseren Kunden suchen wir einen sehr erfahrenen DOCSIS Networ Engineer wie folgt:
Job responsibilities:
Build up a concept for OpenAccess over Docsis
Test new software releases (specially Casa CMTS Release V5.4 ) and new service configurations
Plan, configure, test and support DOCSIS installations for our customers
Provide 2nd level support and troubleshoot production networks as part of on-call duty
Maintain network documentation
Job requirements:
2 or more years of hands-on experience with DOCSIS networks: configuring CMTS, CM and MTA boot files, DHCP service – also experience with DOCSIS 3.0 (must).
Experience with CASA CMTS routers (must)
Good understanding of cable media layer
In-depth knowledge of CM and MTA provisioning workflow, DHCP protocol details, details of CM and MTA boot files, firmware management
Practical knowledge of DOCSIS QoS configuration and MTA configuration
EU or Swiss nationality or a valid Swiss work permit
Nice to have:
Network technology certifications (CCNP level or alike)
Detailed knowledge of IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)
Operational experience with MPLS networks
Linux server administration skills; UNIX shell and Perl programming skills
Good understanding of network management systems and protocols
