Infrastructure Systems Engineer/Administrator with profound Windows knowledge wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Expertise in maintaining current Windows-based infrastructures in a high-performance, high-throughput enterprise environment (5 years)
- 3 years of practical knowledge with virtualization platforms and use of diagnostic tools in the troubleshooting of issues (processes, disk space management, application/system logs, system resources) in complex, multi-tier architectures
- Strong background in reading and interpreting system logs related to errors and events
- Knowledge of hardware, as in HP and DELL, Blade Technology
- Familiarity with Powershell scripts and Microsoft-specific services and concepts
- Capacity to communicate with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders with a wide area of expertise
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Forming a part of the Operations Team, that is maintaining primarily Windows Servers and supporting all technology layers of a complex research environment
- Maintaining and supporting of research computing platform systems, including incident and problem resolution
- Supporting infrastructure of other IT teams in troubleshooting complex issues
- Ensuring the GxP standards are met and fulfilling tasks or incidents through the company's ticketing system
- Communicating with members of Engineering team, Service Desk and Application Service Managers
- Creating and updating Documentation
