For our client a global banking company located in Zurich, Harvey Nash is looking for a FX Business Analyst for a 6-months contract.
Job Description:
Your role
Do you have a knack for analysing IT business processes? Are you able to manage projects efficiently?
We're looking for someone like that who can help us:
- determine required IT business solutions and assist in implementing them
- conduct requirements-gathering activities, like evaluating services, using a variety of internal and external data and conducting stakeholder interviews
- support the business engineer by describing the business processes, including the organizational structures involved
- assist in quality control and project management
- identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements
- Understand cross stream dependencies
- Ensure BRDs are produced by Business Stakeholders and available for the deliverable
- Creates a F2B functional spec and/or design for the deliverable (as required)
- Performs high level top-down assessment of deliverable impact across different streams and validates impact with stream leads
- Is the deliverable IT SME and covers queries, design gaps or questions as necessary
- Syndicates the design and requirements front-to-back to the stream leads and ensures there is agreement with the stream leads

You'll be working in the FX IT team in Zurich. Our role is to build and maintain cutting edge technology platform for trading of FX cash and derivatives products. We help our clients by providing high performance trading systems and solutions and enable leading FX bank in the world.
Your experience and skills
You have:
- banking, specially FX
- Regulatory (Clearing, Mifid, SEF, ..)
- IT (Unix, SQL, UML)
- Knowledge of investment banking
- Project Management
- experience applying business analysis techniques
- the ability to interpret a set of technical requirements (you know what they really want)
- knowledge of how to develop robust solutions
- an understanding of the software development life cycle
- strong analytical, problem-solving and synthesizing skills
You are:
- passionate about supporting the development of IT systems and applications
- technically savvy with an appreciation for IT capability
- adaptable, able to work across teams and functions
- fluent in English
