For our client, a well-known pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are looking for a
Manager Internal Communications & Events (m/f)

Your tasks:
  • Develop, implement and evaluate strategic employee communications to strengthen the company's overall goals and to align, educate and motivate employees
  • Serve as strategic business partner by providing communications counsel, support and tools to management and other internal stakeholders
  • Drive development of new and standard tools incl. digital which may include but are not limited to support with local meetings, speaking points and business presentations
  • Manage internal communications, town hall meetings etc.
  • Responsible for content development and management of strategic subjects for internal communications purposes
  • Edit and publish content for internal publication incl. organizational announcements
  • Manage the local intranet and other communication tools. Benchmark best practices to enhance, improve or replace existing tools as appropriate.
  • Establish and lead internal communication network with other communicators as well as key local stakeholders within Consumer Health and Pharma Divisions to ensure alignment and awareness of business topics and tools
  • Strong alignment with global Basel based communication functions with regard to internal communications. Networking with other communication functions as appropriate
  • Collaboration with other Basel based functions such as HR with regard to communications
  • Design and executive the monthly Town Hall meetings, the Summer and Christmas Party


Your qualifications
  • Professional corporate communications in a global surrounding and/or agency public relations experience required
  • Demonstrated success in developing, managing and delivering internal communication strategies and plans in a large, complex, global organization
  • Strong organizational skills, track record with events
  • Superior interpersonal communication, teamwork, collaboration, supervisory and client service skills, with demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships
  • Proven writing capabilities in a variety of formats, employee newsletters, organizational communications, video scripts and PowerPoint presentations
  • Fluent ,also written, in German and English
  • Strong editorial skills in German and English
  • Life Science experience is a plus
  • English on the level of a native speaker is a plus
