Oracle Database Specialist wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.Your experience/skills:
- 5+years' experience working as an Oracle Specialist with solid knowledge in Oracle up to version 11G and 3 years working experience in a production support environment
- At least 1-year experience working with a large Financial Organization
- Strong background in UNIX commands and utilities for Oracle like RAC, Goldengate, Data Guard along with good know-how in Oracle appliances Exadata and ODA
- Ability to manage, prioritize and solve problems quickly and completely as well as absolute confidence in obtaining and providing sound advice for customers and colleagues
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be an asset
Your tasks:
- Providing 3rd level support for the Oracle environment in Switzerland and globally
- Cooperating with other Distributed Systems teams, e.g. UNIX, and business streams if necessary
- Liaising with local and global Database Administrators
- Working in a project team for storage as a service migrating database from old to new SAN technology
- Working on the weekend as part of the Production Migrations Team
- Very strong inter-personal and communication skills
