Oracle Database AdministratorStart Date: Immediate / 4 Weeks
Contract Length: 6 Months + Extension
Location: 100% On-site - Zurich
Pay: 600 CHF - 780 CHF per day - Negotiable
Engagement Method: Swiss PAYE Employer of Record
I am working with a leading global consultancy on an international finance and banking project based in Zurich
to find an Oracle Database Administrator to manage complex database migration and handle escalations.
Ideally, we are looking for someone that would be able to start this project as soon as possible, however, we can accommodate a four-week notice period.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with your skill-set to be part of a project with international exposure.
Description of tasks:
- Work with account to meet commitments, requirements, and expectations, ensure that all planned upgrade & migrations delivered on time.
- Provide consultation and highlight risks proactively for Oracle workload.
- Validate the existing process, migration approach and provide recommendations.
- Provide inputs to the automation team for pre & post check activities.
- Provide post migration support during warranty period.
- Work with customer engineering & design team to meet commitments, requirements, and expectations, ensure that all use case delivered on time.
- Participate in Weekly, monthly review with the customer.
- Perform KT from customer engineering & design team to understand customer processes, migration approach.
- Pass on the acquired knowledge to Oracle team members.
- Provide consultation and updates for Oracle migration.
- Provide post-migration support.
Essential Skill Set:
- Should have handled large database upgrades & database migration projects.
- Experience in database engineering and design work
- Database performance tuning experience.
- Strong Oracle RAC, Data Guard & Golden Gate expertise.
- Must have Oracle 19c/21c upgrade experience.
- Oracle 11g,12,19c, 21c administration.
- Performance tuning experience.
- Large Oracle upgrade & migration projects experience.
