Systems Engineer - Digital Workplace vacancy for a globally operating Basel based company in the financial sector.
Your tasks:
- Implementing, maintaining and improving core Windows Client infrastructure services including security hardening, automated deployment, patching and life cycle management
- Managing the user environment, defining, configuring and managing the client desktop experience
- Ensuring third-level support for Windows clients, which includes performance monitoring and resolution of client performance issues
- Contributing towards adoption of new Microsoft Azure services and help maintaining existing ones
- Practicing agile and DevOps practices within Infrastructure and Operations
- Assisting with 3rd level support for the company's core applications like Office and Adobe
Your experience/knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and related technology stack, which includes SCCM, Intune, Microsoft 365, SCCM Co-Management, Microsoft Azure and GPO
- Proficiency in hardware, Microsoft operating system security and hardening, focusing on Windows security capabilities likes BitLocker, SecureBoot, TPM, Defender Firewall, Application whitelisting, GPO and other
- Know-how of desktop support with a proven record of delivering Microsoft-focused large-scale solutions via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune
- Knowledge of designing and implementing Operating System Deployments, which includes the image build, task sequences and reporting
- Outstanding Scripting skills in PowerShell or other technologies
