For our customer a big pharmaceutical company Roche Diagnostics we are looking for a highly qualified Senior Software Engineer IC Core.
Background
The department is responsible for the software framework which supports the development of Roche Instruments (Blood analyzers etc.). The IC Core Team builds and maintains an Instrument Control Framework (Library) that allows instrument development teams to sustainably build and test the instrument control layer. The team serves multiple instrument projects within Roche and instruments of different sizes.

The manager is looking for a candidate that has an expectation for him/herself to deliver at a high level of quality and is not satisfied with average quality.
The candidate will work in a highly skilled, technically strong and autonomous team and is expected to bring the same experience and mindset. Also highly important is a strong customer centricity, caring about the customers and how to solve their problems.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Covering end to end process, understand product requirements and technical requirements and turn this into the design of the solution
- Conduct design and technical discussion
- Development the pipeline, meaning not only writing and coding the solutions also testing and deployment/validation of the solution
- Part of agile team
- Understand and be able to work with customer centricity
- Responsible for Demos of the solution and present them on a rotation with other team members
- Interaction with customers and collect suggestions for improvements
- Capacity to work on planning, estimate efforts and spilt them
- Be the support and work on any defects / troubleshooting and solution for defects
Must Haves:
- Strong knowledge on C++ (years of experience with ability to work on difficult cases), modern C++
- Linux and GNU command Line understanding and strong experience in it
- Object oriented programming
- In the interview will be technical questions about Linux and C++ to see the depth of understanding
