Network Engineer - MUST have EU passport and MUST be able to relocate to Switzerland- 12 month contract (likely to extend)
- 50% remote and onsite (must be based in Switzerland, Basel or willing to relocate)
- Rate: 100 CHF per hour
Perfect candidate: Senior engineer in the area network area able to handle incidents and run troubleshooting with operational network matters, as well as a proactive mind and personality with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
General Information:
Tasks & Responsibilities:
· Implementation and maintenance of core networking and infrastructure application technologies, ensuring optimal secure environment availability.
· Support and maintenance of network infrastructures and their dependencies, through the application of industry best practices with an emphasis on Cisco and Palo Alto technologies
· Willingness to work outside normal working hours during service windows and to provide on-call cover for evenings and weekends.
Must haves:
· Strong knowledge and experience with network devices (Cisco ACI/SDA, F5 and Palo Alto firewalls)
· Familiar working in a data centre environment and troubleshooting
· Experience with monitoring tools (CheckMK preferred)
· Experience with scripting languages and common automation frameworks (Python, Ansible)
· Advanced level of English language
