Biorepository Scientist (m/ f /d) - Sample Management / Microsoft Office / gSuite / Quality Management / GMP

Project:
For our client Roche Diagnostics Switzerland based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a highly qualified Biorepository Scientist.

Background
The Biospecimen & Acquisition Management team (BAM) at Roche Diagnostics International is part of a global support team spanning Rotkreuz-Switzerland, Pleasanton-California, Penzberg - Germany and Tucson-Arizona.

The BAM team is a chapter within Roche Diagnostic Solutions which leads the acquisition and management of biological materials and its associated data to support our R&D activities. BAM collaborates with Roche Diagnostic Solutions (RDS) Networks to ensure that our internal customer requirements for biological materials are agreed to, via formal established processes, communicated to on a periodic basis, and met per commitment in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices, Good Clinical Data Management Practices, Quality, and Business standards.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* In collaboration & under supervision of the current biorepository team; support biorepository daily operations including; sample receipt, verification, retrievals, distribution, and shipments related activities (import & export following IATA regulations).
  • Inventory Management - Maintain an accurate physical inventory of biological materials in the biospecimen repository, conduct monthly periodic checks for assessment, monitor storage availability and resolve discrepancies as presented.
  • Follow departmental work instructions, SOP's, GLPs to perform assigned tasks; Duties include handling hazardous biological materials (BSL-2).
  • Maintain compliance with BSM processes and maintain information in a validated laboratory information management system (LIMS) for Good Clinical Practices and Quality Standards.

Must haves:
  • Apprenticeship as Biology Lab Technician or BSc/MSc in biological discipline.
  • Min. 1-3 years' experience in biorepository/sample management, sample handling, or laboratory technician/assistant areas.
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Suite.
  • Proficient in English written or orally, German would be a bonus.
  • Requires work with dry ice, -80-degree freezers, and human biological samples in a BSL2 lab
  • Physical ability to lift objects up to 30 lbs.
  • Self-motivated individual & team player who can maintain quality, accuracy and timeliness of Deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
  • Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills including excellent excel Proficiency.
  • Interest in the Quality Management field.
