For our client in Switzerland we are looking for an IT Network Engineer. The main location is Bern area and about 40% remote.Tasks
• Propose Network and Security designs and architectures based on Cisco and Fortinet products.
• Execute projects such as new network- implementations, extensions, and renewals on an international basis.
• Identify vulnerabilities in the IT infrastructure, analyzing security threats, and provide recommendations/ best practices to secure the environment.
• Prepare and document standard operation procedures and protocols, collaborate closely with the IT Operations team.
• Interact with external Providers and Manufacturers for innovation tasks and developing new services.
Required experience:
• Certification such as Cisco CCNP (Enterprise and/or Security) and/or Fortinet NSE7 or equivalent is a must.
• Familiarity with campus LAN design including building redundant networks, dynamic routing protocol design and high availability strategies (VLAN’s, RSTP, DHCP, OSPF, FHRP, VSS, Stack Wise virtual).
• Knowledge with MAN/WAN designs (BGP, MPLS and IP VPN’s are a plus).
• Understanding with campus security designs (firewalling, network segmentation, micro segmentation, 802.1x).
• Knowledge and experience in emerging technologies such as DNAC, and/or SDA is a plus.
• Cisco CCIE (Enterprise and/or Security) and/or Fortinet NSE8 is a plus.

• Languages: English; French is a plus
• Location: Bern area, Switzerland and about 40% Remote
