WebSphere System Engineer - this is a long term contract opportunity for an experienced Engineer with z/OS knowledge for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.Your tasks:
- Utilising latest fixpacks and ifixes and defining data sources
- Monitoring systems performance and using infrastructure performance reports to identify improvement opportunities
- Identifying issues as well as opening of vendor problem records and providing on-call support
- Developing health check scripts, processes and procedures while documenting changes to the Infrastructure configuration
Your experience/knowledge:
- Expertise in installing, configuring, implementing, tuning and debugging WebSphere Application Server for z/OS in a large IT environment
- Proficient in USS and excellent WLM knowhow related to WAS
- Competency of z/OS, Java development and deployment tooling with sound Java debugging skills
- Adept at Monitoring zWAS using Dynatrace
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
