IT Disaster Recovery Consultant

Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for an IT Disaster Recovery Consultant to support IT Application Managers in the creation of Disaster Recovery Plans (DR-Plans) and to ensure that they commit to a time plan and follow it through.
The initial timescale is 5 months but there is a strong chance that this will be extended
Main responsibilities
- Scheduling the specification of DR-Plans with the respective IT team
- Brief the application managers on how to specify DR-Plans
- Answer questions and organize the review and approval process of the DR-plans
- Check if plans belonging to the same process are consistent
- Test of the DR-plans:
- Schedule the test of the DR-plan with the respective IT team
- Support the creation of a test plan and test cases
- Collect results and identify required follow-up actions
Your skills:
- 4-6 years in an Advisory role
- Good generalist IT expertise especially with regards to dependencies between IT systems and different layers in the IT stack
- Knowledge of IT Service Continuity/Disaster Recovery
- Deployment of IT Applications
- JavaScript
- Experience in IT Service Continuity/Disaster Recovery planning and testing (strong bonus, not a must)
- Strong presentation and moderation skills and techniques
- Fluency in German and very good English skills. Spanish skills are a plus.
- Residence in Switzerland is preferred but remote support from another country is possible as well
