Your tasks:
- Monitoring, maintaining and improving the reliability and quality of data processing services and warehousing environments
- Building and testing solutions as well as documenting test results, designs and operational manuals
- Providing support for production operations while maintaining and documenting Standard Operating Procedures
- Performing code upgrades and contributing continuous process improvement suggestions
- Identifying and documenting best practices within the corresponding areas of expertise
- Creating and maintaining educational content
Your experience/knowledge:
- 2+ years of professional experience with SIEM, log management, data warehousing and with big data platforms such as Splunk, Cloudera and Confluent,
- Practice with big data messaging, streaming applications and frameworks including Kafka, Nifi, Flink and Spark
- Capability of administrating and troubleshooting distributed environments and clusters
- Proficiency in analysing and interpreting log sources eg Web proxies, Firewalls, Windows, Linux, Sysmon and EDR
- Familiarity with Linux administration, Bash scripts, packaging and troubleshooting
- Competency of least one programming language like Python or Java is desired
- Awareness of Splunk Enterprise Security, REST, SOAP, container management, DevOps and Agile along with technical writing skills are advantageous
