For a project at our client‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for a motivated
Senior Java DevOps Engineer
In this challenging project, you will be working as a hands-on Senior Engineer with a “test-first” approach, where Java is the primary development language.
Your Qualifications:
- Senior Java Developer with 8-10 years experience in Core Java development with working experience in a large financial organization (Investment Banking domain)
- Well versed in Spring Core with strong understanding of OOP
- Solid skills in understanding of reactive programming A degree in IT (MSc or BSc) or an alternative technical degree combined with the relevant working experience
- Experience with Java Testing frameworks (e.g. Junit/ TestNG, Maven)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD processes (e.g. Jenkins, Git)
- Familiar with SQL and PL/SQL, Angular and Python
- Know-how of UNIX Shell Scripting, Splunk, App Dynamics and Control-M would be an asset
- Familiar with MQ and Kafka and Knowledge on TDD/BDD concepts
- Experience in Test Automation is desired
- Clear demonstrable experience in Agile processes
- Fluent in English
Your Responsibilities:
- Supporting the release management process
- Work with business partners to understand, agree, and document requirements
- Create designs and plans to deliver technical functionality as specified by the requirements
- Participate and contribute in technical architecture meetings
- Collaborate with peers and senior team leaders to define and implement standard methodologies in areas such as software build and releases, automated testing, and production monitoring
- Collaborate and support the overall solution delivery of the team following the Agile methodology
- Leading and contribution to 3-Amigos sessions
- Supporting the test automation and functional team to ensure the comprehensive testing of all technical changes before release to production
- Provide regular status reporting to key stakeholders including progress, risks, issues, and mitigation steps
