Title: Storage and Backup Administrator
Contract length: 6 months (extension/internalization)
Starting date: 01.12.21
Location: Bern
Your tasks:
- Develop the CH EMEA Backup Infrastructure
- Identify which areas can be improved within the infrastructure
- Assist the Global Service Owner with statistical reporting and analysis of backup performance
- Ensure that the infrastructure configurations are in-line with the security baselines
- Fix backup failures creating regulatory issues
- Configure new hardware to resolve the life cycle issues
- Identify automation opportunities along with design and implementation
Your skills:
- 3 years of experience in storage backup administration positions
- Solid knowledge of NetBackup 7.x and 8.x including OpsCenter ( experience with APTARE is an advantage)
- Good understanding of tape encryption essential, preferably SKLM
- Good knowledge of tape libraries, preferably IBM TS3500 and TS4500
- Experience with HPE StoreOnce 6600, Data Domain and Cohesity is desired
- Experience working on Linux and Windows
Desired skills:
- Experience with Veritas NetBackup tools to backup Servers, Oracle DBs and VMware VMs
- Experience with Physical and Virtual Tape Systems
- Experience IBM and HP Storage Systems
- Hands-on experience monitoring and performance tuning of various storage systems
- Experience with SAN Switches - Cisco
- Shell Scripting (bash/ksh, PERL, Python)
- Knowledge of NAS and SAN is an advantage. dEMC Unity and Isilon
- Understanding of SOX controls, Audit and Regulatory Compliance, also is an advantage
