Scientific Researcher (f/m/d) - clinical sample /LIMS / German/French / GLP/GCPProject:
For our customer a big pharmaceutical company in Basel we are looking for two highly qualified Scientific Researcher
Background:
The Scientific Researcher is responsible for performing laboratory-based activities and processes related to the tracking, inventory, sample processing, and transport of biological samples from clinical and non-clinical trials, including management of associated metadata, and ensuring that lab activities fulfill customer needs while achieving operational excellence in quality, service levels, cost and compliance.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Responsible and accountable for end-to-end sample management activities and request evaluation and set up. This includes request intake and collaboration with the relevant subject matter experts within and outside of Pharma Biosample Services, ensuring samples are received, accessioned, tracked, stored, database setup, EPL upload, perform data quality checks on the EPL upload and associated query resolution) in a timely manner and according to protocol requirements & Pharma Biosample Services best practices and GCP
* Where applicable, interacts directly with the customer to fulfil requests, resolve queries and has peer-to-peer discussions with scientists and strategic partners
* Coordinates and conducts manual and/or automated sample processing workflows for various sample types
* Provides technical oversight of any outsourced sample processing activities where Pharma Biosample Services has the oversight
Must haves:
* Completed apprenticeship or University Degree in Biology, Medical Care, Biomedical Science or similar
* 1-3 years' experience in a biological laboratory setting managing clinical or non-clinical samples
* Familiarity with GLP/GCP requirements and awareness of the ethical considerations for the use of biological samples
* Good IT skills in MS-Office; experienced with LIMs is a plus
* English fluency verbally and written is a must, German and/or French is a plus
* Team-player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside your functional area
* Detail-oriented and accuracy in data entry while maintaining project timelines
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
Nice to have:
* Experience in tracking a large amount of clinical samples
* Good theoretical and practical understanding of nucleic acid handling
* Customer orientated mind-set
