System Engineer (DevOps) (m/f/d)

Main tasks:
- Performance tuning on the system Kubernetes, Linux, JVM and in the system (Druid.io)
- Optimizations and tuning on the complete architecture (Kafka, Kubernetes, CEPH, HDFS, etc.)
- Deployment automation (CI/CD), GitOps resilience using Ansible, Go, Bash (Python)
- Improving the reliability and monitoring of the service (cluster, data pipelines and data availability) using Prometheus, Grafana, Clarity
- Contributions to the architecture of the future AWS cloud setup
- Implementing the service on the cloud
Main qualifications
- Strong Linux operation background
- Excellent skills in continuous integration and delivery, automation, and scripting (Python/Go and Bash, Jenkins, Ansible)
- Excellent knowledge of operating distributed systems/databases - e.g. Druid.io, good knowledge of SQL
- Hands-on experience with microservice architectures, REST, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience monitoring and performance tuning of software applications and data pipelines (Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
- Knowledge of Kafka (internals)
- Very good English language skills
- As a plus: Experience with CEPH, S3; relevant AWS technologies (EC2, Fargate, ECS, EKS, TimeStream, RedShift, etc.); German language skills
