Job Details
o Individual with significant Optical knowledge to work with the TNOC L2 OPS personnel.
o Products: 6500 Photonics (fixed and flex grid), 6500 Broadband (OTR/MOTR), 6500 OTN switches primarily (Network Management: MCP and One Control);
legacy network (6500 MSPP, 3500, …)
o CTP research
o Open and manage Cases
o Act as a liaison agent with Ciena Technical Support
? Collect logs
? Provide Ciena Tech Support all information required for troubleshooting a specific Case
o Report back to customer to bring Cases to closure
o Make pro-active recommendations on actions to maintain Network Health and Integrity
• Ciena’s prime go-to-person on a daily bases for the customer engineering Team
o Being the field guys who do the turn-ups and installs.
o Being the engineering team who create configurations, configuration files and scripts.
o The roll is in principle office based, not a field function
• Support the customer team on a daily bases Ciena related work;
o Configuration & Engineering
• Analyze, review and recommend configuration information
• Analyze network traffic flow
? Being able to configure hardware and software for full functionality
• Recommend modifications as appropriate and assist with implementation of modifications
• Assist with project documentation updates and maintenance
o Product & Informational related questions
o Liaison to Ciena support
• Assist with communication, consultation, coordination, escalation and leadership to address major problems
• Diagnose and isolate faults and remedy Ciena software, configuration and equipment failures
• Tracking troubles & chasing up on tickets
• Solve bugs found
Note : We are not looking for Ciena experience. We are more looking for CISCO and JUNIPER profile
