For a project at our banking client site in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedDatabase & System Administrator - Oracle & Unix (3159)
Your qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in the administration of Oracle Databases and Unix/Linux Systems
Experience in any of the following disciplines is a clear plus: MS-SQL Database Administration or Microsoft Windows Systems Administration
Willingness to learn additional technologies and to work in 24/7 shifts (nights and weekends approximately one week every other month)
Good MS Office skills and scripting/programming knowledge (VBS, VBA, C#) is an advantage
Good communication skills in English (written and verbal), German is a plus
The role:
You will be providing 1st level support for financial application systems, especially database or system related issues.
In this role you are responsible for technical management and coordination of issues and projects primarily involving installation, configuration and on-going administration tasks of databases and partly MS-SQL databases.
You take actively part in the resolution of system and performance issues and work closely with other team members locally and globally to provide understanding across all components of the database environments.
In an additional function you provide advice and assistance in terms of developing and progressing the infrastructure environments, including the assessment of needs and recommend solutions in an Enterprise IT.
