For a project at our banking client's site in Zurich we are looking for an experienced

Junior Business Analyst (2864)

In January 2013 the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) published the document Principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting , designated BCBS 239. The document consists of 14 principles which have to be fulfilled by all G-SIBs by January 1st 2016. As our client is defined as G-SIB, these principles have driven the need to implement the BCBS 239 program at our client.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the PBWM Market Risk team with regards to the BCBS 239 project with a focus on the risk/finance data reconciliation related requirements. Closely cooperate with the PBWM Market Risk team as well as the BCBS project team and related functions as STS, Product Control, or IT.

Support requirements engineering, for example in terms of potential data feed enhancements, data availability and data quality analyses, and data matching rules
Support IT implementation measures, participate in testing and sign-offs
Data analysis and clarification of reconciliation breaches found during the project phase
Documentation of findings and accepted mismatches between risk and finance data sources
Lead corrective actions to resolve data quality issues found during the project phase
High management attention in an international environment Embedded in a team of professionals with a variety of backgrounds
Working on regulatory-related topics that are shaping the future of the financial industry
Broad exposure across the bank and development opportunities

Required Experience/Skills:

Essential
Relevant work experience in market risk management, and/or business analysis in a banking risk and/or finance function
Team player with strong analytical, conceptual, delivery-oriented and hands-on work style
Experienced user of MS Office toolset, especially Excel and Access
English written and verbal communication (German a plus)

Desired
Strong interpersonal skills that enable building effective working relationships and partnership across different divisions, functions levels and cultures
Good understanding of Market Risk or/and Product Control functions within the financial sector
Knowledge about Credit Suisse organization, processes and IT landscape (eg front or Back Office systems)
Data reconciliation and reporting experience; ideally risk to finance reconciliation experience
