DevOps Engineer with profound Database knowledge wanted for our Zurich client in the banking sector.
Your experience/skills:
- University Degree or equivalent professional experience in IT with 5+ years' practice as a DevOps in the finance sector
- Prior experience with software development, infrastructure and operations, including 3+ years' experience with managing Linux based infrastructure and working with relational databases such as Oracle and MS-SQL
- 2+ years background in Scripting languages, ideally as Java developer
- Know-how of bank workflow and products data structure as well as different business products such as FX, Equities, Structured products, Interest Rates, Fixed Income and Commodities is advantageous
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German is a plus
Your tasks:
- Designing and implementing the build-, deployment-, and configuration management for the Database Software Components
- Handling code deployments in all environments as well as building and testing automation tools for Release Deployment
- Conducting test management, including the development of test cases, the execution of test program and testing implemented designs according to Business Requirements
- Improving application life cycle development and Environment Management by monitoring metrics
- Documenting and designing workflow processes as well as managing updates
- Taking charge of the Project Development specification and documentation
