Role Description:
Senior technical Geneos SME will be responsible for end-to-end Geneos monitoring implementation for production support Front Office applications in the investment banking/wealth management area. Prior experience in Geneos monitoring solution implementation and hands-on configuration skills are must.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for Geneos implementation and configuration for Front Office production support
- Execution of daily configuration activities related to Geneos and work closely with the production support leads & managers
- Technical contract for Geneos implementation
- Interact with infrastructure/network team, release/change management for Geneos related changes/deployments
- Works on unusually complex cross-functional/cross-cultural environment
- Constantly focus on knowledge management, automation and other continuous improvement initiatives
- Prioritize application onboarding to Geneos monitoring seeking necessary help from SMEs and leads.
Primary Skills/Knowledge and experience:
- Extensive Knowledge in Geneos architecture
- Experience in Geneos active console navigation and setup
- Well versed with Geneos Gateway setup editor and configuration
- Geneos probes, Managed Entities, Plug-in configuration
- Rule setup, threshold definition and alerting
- Periodical review of alerting and optimization
- Dashboard creation & setup for business & application support
- Liaison with Gateway hosting team to deal connectivity and stability issues
- Liaison with ITRS for issues reporting and solutions.
- Extensive experience in Unix, Shell Scripting.
- Hands-on experience in SQL queries and PLSQL
- Any domain knowledge in investment banking space
- Basic understanding of Perl Scripting, Java and Middleware (Tibco/MQ)
- Good command over communication, presentation & stakeholder handling skills
- ITIL foundation certified - understanding of the Production Support Methodologies

- Good understanding of trading life cycle and FO/MO/BO business streams
