A leading IT service provider in Basel, Switzerland is looking for an experienced project manager with strong networking skills in WAN, Routing, Firewall, Switching etc. as well as good all round knowhow in IT Infrastructure like VMWare, Microsoft Exchange, Windows etc.
This involves managing a number of global customer projects for upgrading the customer's global network and IT infrastructure.
An absolutely essential skill for this job is experience in managing the customer and the work packages for the systems engineers. This includes the ability to pro-actively communicate with the customer's senior level IT managers.
We expect an average workload of at least 60% with a significantly higher workload initially.
The expectation is for this assignment to run for 3-6 months - extensions beyond that are likely. The possibility to become permanent later also exists for candidates with overlapping interests and skills.
Fluent spoken and written English is essential. German and/or French are an advantage.
Work permit for Switzerland or the EU is required.
