We are currently looking on behalf of one of our important clients for a Checkpoint Firewall Specialist in Bern. This is a contract role starting ASAP & running for at least 6 months, with the possibility of a further extension.
Your Role:
- Ensure the smooth operation of a Checkpoint Firewall platform.
- Monitor the platform & carry out daily maintenance, such as checking log files, monitoring systems & backups etc.
- Carry out troubleshooting according to the respective SLA via Remedy/E-Mail.
- Implement configuration work using Remedy MACs (Move-Add-Change jobs).
- Partake in patching.
- Answer customer inquiries.
- Update operating documentation, such as BHB (Operations Manual), CMDB (Config.Mgt.DataBase) & MLR (Market Performance Reporting).
Your Profile & Experience:
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong operational experience in the configuration & migration of Firewalls & their rules in large environments (ideally environments with 10 or more Firewall clusters).
- Excellent ability to solve the incidents in operations.
- Profound troubleshooting skills & profound knowledge of relevant protocols.
- Ideally proven experience with iRules & skilled in creating & manipulating them.
- Preferably familiar with IPS technologies
- Willing to carry out maintenance work on Wednesday evenings & Sundays if necessary.
- Fluent German & English (spoken & written).
