Windows Messaging Infrastructure Engineer required, to work on a project within a major Bank.
As part of the IT Operations team, the Windows Server Service Delivery team provisions, manages and supports the Windows server environment that hosts a wide variety of business-critical applications used across the Bank. The team supports a number of services used either directly by end users or by other application owners.
The team manages and maintains a number of services, including:
- Windows server deployment, hardening and management within a virtualisation platform.
- Active Directory and Group Policy
- Messaging service platforms, such as e-mail, Blackberry Work and RightFax
- SQL Infrastructure services
- Operational monitoring platforms
- Working with the security department to develop security standards and monitor the compliance to these standards.
Purpose of the role
The primary purpose of this role, as a member of the Windows Server Service Delivery Team, is to support in the design, implementation and management of the Bank's e-mail environment. Your role will be to act as a messaging infrastructure specialist. The requires in-depth knowledge of infrastructure design, implementation and support for Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and Group Policy
Primary accountabilities:
- Message tracking and troubleshooting
- Building and managing Exchange HA environments (DAG)
- Design and implement messaging solutions
- Troubleshooting message delivery and Active Directory replication
- Building, maintaining and supporting:
- Active Directory infrastructure
- TLS/SMIME/DMARC/DNS
- DRM/IRM
- MDM solutions
Required Technical Experience
- Excellent knowledge of Windows server operating systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Exchange deployment and support
- Good understanding of secure messaging techniques, including:
- TLS/SMIME/DMARC/DNS
- Clearswift Secure Email Gateways or email security gateways
- MessageLabs
- Good understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy
- Good understanding of RightFax solutions
- Good understanding of Windows 10 client operating system and Office 2016
