SOC Engineer
An Major telecommunications company based in Zurich is currently looking for a SOC Engineer. With evolving security technologies this company would like you to be apart of their ever expanding team.
Duties
In the Security Operations Center, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of our customers' managed security devices. As part of the operational operation of the ICT security infrastructure, you are responsible for adhering to service level agreements and security worldwide. You take care of monitoring security events and identify threats to our international clientele. You also analyse messages about critical security vulnerabilities and communicate them to stakeholders. You plan changes and execute them professionally. In addition, you optimize our detection systems and resolve security and device incidents. Also, you'll do release upgrades and fix vulnerabilities.
Skills
Completed basic education (EFZ) or degree (university/ETH/FH) in computer science
Practical experience in IT operations or SOC
Decent knowledge of Firewall, Proxy and VPN
Expertise in products such as F5, Cisco, Checkpoint, Bluecoat, Fortinet desired
Experience in network, TCP/IP, Linux/Unix, Firewall, VPN, Proxy required
Teamwork and great interest in security
Impeccable reputation and willingness to work in shifts
Good German and English
