Your role:

Integrator with Java development skills. We look for an integrator to assist in the migration of the home grown product DynaRep. This includes understanding Java enterprise applications consisting of many interfaces to other systems. The migration entails an operating system and database move.

Migration details:

* OS: From Solaris to Linux, including packaging

* DB: From Oracle DB to DBaaS (DB as a Service)

* Java: No Java code to be rewritten, but rebuilt probably required. Jenkins understanding would be good. How to build multi-layered Java software, build packages with Jenkins, Maven

* Network: Move to another network. But should not include too much changes, but still should be normally working after migration.

* Tests: Testing of interfaces. All of types of testing (part of build process). Later end-to-end and user acceptance tests (documented in Quality Center)

Your team:

You'll be working in the Global IT4IT team. We are supporting all LoB and ensuring we have a consistent and strategic approach to "common" software products in the bank. Those products include over 120 software products covering the complete end to end development tool-chain and associated products and functions.

Global IT4IT enables Group Technologies to develop business applications in a professional way. We provide the best tools along the IT value chain. The IT Value Chain is the core process of Group Technology to provide IT Services to the various Business Entities of the bank and their market partners and suppliers ("the Business").

Your experience and skills:

* Understand large-scale enterprise applications including

  • Code and package structure
  • How to build with Maven/Jenkins

* Windows and Linux Shell Scripting would stand for and what is a purpose of Scripting

  • Bash/sh Scripting - starting of imports, DB jobs,
  • Configuration aspects (environment, features enablement, etc)

* SQL, PL/SQL

  • Makes sense to rebuilt DB packages (some experts will be involved)
  • It would help to have understanding but not mandatory

* Software packaging process including Linux packages and Windows client packages

  • Target to have automatic deployment.
  • Packaging automation (Linux packaging, DB packaging); (the bank packaging process will be introduced to a newcomer)

* Even if we are not looking for a "pure" developer following skills would be beneficial

  • Tomcat
  • Oracle PL/SQL
  • Eclipse plugin development
  • WebServices; Servlets

* Comfortable working independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

* fluent in English, and/or German
