Splunk Engineer/Administrator - Linux
This is a long term contract opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a Global Financial Services company. The role will involve working within the Cyber Security team and support the design and development of data infrastructures for data collection and analysis.
Your experience/skills:
- 3+ years' hands on experience together with proficiency in Splunk, Automation and User facing process design
- Strong Linux/Redhat experience
- Competent handling of ETL process, data processing (log data) and integrate systems
- Good command of Python and JavaScript with the ability to write complex regular expressions as well as familiarity with HAProxy, NGINX, Docker and Kubemetes
- Statistics knowledge and the ability to write complex regular expressions
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Splunk and Linux Engineering and administration
- Analysing requirements, creating technical solutions and test plans
- Collaborating with architects, business analysts and engineers to ensure compatibility of the proposed technical solutions with the companies environment
- Developing configuration code and scripts for integration with other components
- Building and testing solutions in a lab environment as well as documenting test results, designs, and operational manuals
- Providing 3rd level support to Production operations teams as necessary
