Windows Administrator (Network connectivity)
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a Windows Administrator (Network connectivity). Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a market leading global company then please have a look at the details:
Role:
- Participate in infrastructure projects; more precisely for a migration project of the current network interface
- Experience with Windows distributed server environment liaising with Switzerland, EMEA and Global counterparts
- Understand business priorities to adequately prioritise work accordingly to meet business objectives.
- Implement improvements in Switzerland, EMEA and Global scale.
- Communicate and collaborate with other internal and external partners for designing, planning and coordination of implementation to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
- You will be expected to drive the execution of innovative solutions.
- Write technical documentations for related infrastructure and installs which will include, but not limited to, the following technologies:
- Clustering, Filesystem, Symantec Enterprise volume management, NetBackup/Commvault, HBA's Technologies
- Good network connectivity, network errors troubleshooting
- TCP knowledge
- Good knowledge of new technology
- OS Windows Server Enterprise
- Hardware HP DL Servers and HP Blade's, DELL Servers, VM Servers
- Participation in weekend and evening work
- Participation on L3 daily incident management, analysis of hardware issues and service request queue
Skills:
- Over 5 years' experience in supporting Windows based infrastructure and application computing environment with large number of Servers.
- Solid understanding of network connectivity, Symantec and Clustering are required
- Prior migration project experience highly beneficial
- Prior industry experience is not mandatory, though will be considered favourably
- Fluent in English, good knowledge of German
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
