ALL-INCLUSIVE DAILY RATE CHF 680/DAY

A leading tier-1 banking client of mine are currently looking for a VMware Administrator for a job opportunity in Zürich.

As the VMware Administrator, you will be a part of a team who are responsible for the administration and management of the virtualization infrastructure of the Swiss region for IB, WMSB, and WM EMEA division of approximately 1100 ESX hosts and 17'000 VMs. You will be responsible for a broad variety of tasks, including configuration and administration using virtualization applications, troubleshooting, and capacity planning for these applications. The project involves a large migration from a Legacy network infrastructure to a new cloud-based infrastructure, so you will be tasked with the migration of standard vSwitches to distributed Switches. Additionally, capacity and performance analysis, as well as documentation of operational documentation and technical procedures are also your responsibility. Finally, you will also perform P2V and V2V migrations.

Some key skills you will need for this job are:

  • Expert VMware VSphere knowledge (preferably version 5.5)
  • Good VDS knowledge
  • Knowledge of migration from standard vSwitches to distributed Switches (migration of port groups, etc)
  • Some Cloud computing knowledge (in the HP domain)
  • Fluent English

This is for a contract job with an initial duration of 8 months. Ideally you are available immediately.
