Senior DevOps Engineer
My client, a private bank based in Zurich are urgently looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help implement a new high performance database for their Front Office. You must experience working in a trading environment and be responsible for setting up infrastructures within different environments.

Tasks
- you will be in charge of the specification and documentation of the new project features
- Responsible of setting up the infrastructure on different environments for the new database
- Strategically design and implement the solution keeping the final vision in mind
- Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure
- Handle code deployments in all environments
- Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
- Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
- Manage CI and CD tools with the rest of the team
- Document and design various processes; update existing processes
- Improve infrastructure development and application development
- In addition, you will be developing new features and writing scripts for automation
- Understand different asset classes for financial products as this is an integral part of the project design
- Being in charge of the automated Regression- and User testing for the high performance DB
- Maintain interfaces for the incoming and outgoing data to and from the database
- Excellent testing skills
Required experience and skills
- 5-8 years working experience as a Dev Ops in Financial Industry, preferable in Investment Banking Front Office
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with databases including Oracle, MySQL & Elasticsearch
- Two years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
- 3+ years of experience in managing Linux based infrastructure
- 2+ years of hands-on experience at least in one Scripting language
- 2+ years working experience as a Java developer in middle size projects is a plus
- Previous experience with software development, infrastructure, development, or development and operations
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of bank workflow and products data structure
Education
- University/FH degree or professional experience in IT
