Hadron is looking for a DevOps Specialist/Engineer for our client in the financial sector within their pricing area feed.
Start date: ASAP
Location: Zurich
Salary: Negotiable
Contract length: ends 28.02.2019 (option for renewal)
The role:
The Devops Specialist will work on a new high performance database project which will contain all data which is produced from the Markets Department. The data stored in the database will be used for different purposes: audit, analytics, statistics etc. and it will be stored coming from different sources including our own in-house contributed data. Performance, high frequency, low latency and big amount of data will have to be taken into account while developing the project.
Your tasks & Responsibilities:
-As our new DevOps Engineer, you will be in charge of the specification and documentation of the new project features
-Responsible of setting up the infrastructure on different environments for the new database
-Strategically design and implement the solution keeping the final vision in mind
-Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management
-Build and test automation tools for infrastructure
-Handle code deployments in all environments
-Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve
-Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects
-Manage CI and CD tools with the rest of the team
-Document and design various processes; update existing processes
-Improve infrastructure development and application development
-In addition, you will be developing new features and writing scripts for automation
-Understand different asset classes for financial products as this is an integral part of the project design
-Being in charge of the automated Regression- and User testing for the high performance DB
-Maintain interfaces for the incoming and outgoing data to and from the database
-Excellent testing skills
Required Skills & Experience:
-5-8 years working experience as a Dev Ops in Financial Industry, preferable in Investment Banking Front Office
-3+ years of hands-on experience with databases including Oracle, MySQL & Elasticsearch
-2 years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
-3+ years of experience in managing Linux based infrastructure
-2+ years of hands-on experience at least in one Scripting language
-2+ years working experience as a Java developer in middle size projects is a plus
-Previous experience with software development, infrastructure, development, or development and operations
-Experience with CI/CD tools
-Knowledge of bank workflow and products data structure
-University/FH degree or professional experience in IT
-Fluent in English, German is a plus

-Knowledge of bank workflow and products data structure
-Multiple years' experience in different business products
FX, Equities, Structured products, Interest Rates, Fixed Income and Commodities is a plus
-Structured working approach
-Very good analytic skills
-Passion for Real Time data area, low latency-technology and Front End business
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills and a good sense of humor
-Independent, pragmatic and pro-active working style
