Email System Administrator/SME (Sendmail/Postfix)
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for an Email System Administrator/Subject Matter Expert with know-how with Sendmail or Postfix). Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity with a market leading global company then please have a look at the details:
Role:
In support of the life cycling project, the candidate will be responsible for:
- working closely with the engineering teams (testing in production tests area)
- creating, executing, implementing and documenting production test cases
- supporting deployment and migration steps in close collaboration with engineering (software deployment and configuration changes)
- representing boundary in project calls (providing status updates)
- consulting mail operations and application owners.
Business-as-usual Mail backbone operational works includes:
- operating Mail backbone Internet Mail and Application Mail Gateways, Distributions Systems and Global Directory (OS & Application)
- 2nd level application support for applications belongs to Mail backbone
- Supporting customers (Application developer, Bank users and external partners) and solving Incidents Tickets
- creating, executing, implementing and documenting request for change (RFC)
- systems and applications patching
- mail logs analysais (Sentrion System logs, Splunk logs)
- email policy configuration changes on hygiene layer (Firewall & routing policies)
- small requests for enhancement
- monitoring and reporting task
Skills:
- 4+ years of experience as Email System Engineer
- Experience with Sendmail or Postfix
- Advanced Linux, Sendmail skills
- Intermediate network (DNS, Firewall) and OpenLDAP
- Script development using Shell script knowledge.
- Proven experience in corporate email infrastructure.
- Fluent communication in English,
- Desired skills include:
- Experience with project work and with cross-cultural collaboration.
- Familiarity with Proofpoint Sentrion and Splunk Enterprise products would be an asset.
- Secure electronic messaging experience (in particular Totemo Mail Application)
- Perl programming experience would be a plus.
- German would be a plus
