Consultant for Compliance Function Design and Piloting
Are you a highly qualified Compliance Function Design and Piloting consultant with experience within a mutinational and muticultural environment and looking for an exciting new opportunity within an NGO ? If so, please have a look at the following details:
Experis IT Switzerland is currently on the search for a Compliance Function Design and Piloting consultant to join one of their clients, an NGO, based in Geneva.
Your role:
The consultant will perform the scoping and piloting exercise, to lay the groundwork for a rational, fit for purpose process of compliance testing.
Your Deliverables:
Some of your deliverables will include:
- Assess existing processes and departments to evaluate the scale and quality of monitoring. The exercise will include spot-testing the compliance exercises reported to be in place to evaluate both design and functionality.
- Map of compliance activities currently undertaken across the Client and report on the testing of the compliance activities.
- Perform 2-4 pilot compliance testing exercises: Half should focus on those controls that the review process led by the Risk Department has identified as key. The other half will test ethics and integrity-related controls, principally focusing on grant-facing anti-corruption and Client grievance management systems. The Pilots will be executed with a focus on process-owner engagement, evidence-based reporting of testing results, verification prior to issuing conclusions, and accountability for non-compliance.
- Each exercise will result in an evidence-based compliance report which will include patterns, examples, and recommendations for improvements. Lessons learned from the entire pilot exercise will be included in the design proposal.
- Develop comprehensive proposal for operationalizing a compliance function, including the scope, procedures, accountabilities, and budget.

To deliver the required results, it's essential that you have:
Minimum of 3 years work experience including:
- Identifying and analysing policies, procedures, regulations, or laws to determine what actions are required to be undertaken on their basis.
- Analyzing risk for determining strategic focus, prioritization of efforts, and workable solutions
- Critically analysing information presented to evaluate its quality, veracity, and/or completeness, as well as its utility to the broader objective.
- Ability to meticulously manage documents or evidence to ensure support for analysis and ability to retro-engineer back to the source.
- Developing spreadsheets to capture and analyze extensive data.
- Teamwork and team building skills
- Fluent in English, working knowledge of French
